01 / Atmosphere

A place with a past

A veteran KGB agent wakes in an apparently abandoned bunker. Finding an escape route is also a way to discover why he is there.

I looked at Soviet modernist and brutalist architecture, industrial spaces and technology from the 1970s. References from films and series about bunkers and nuclear power helped define the retro-futuristic setting.

02 / Space

Connected rooms. Changing levels.

The power room, office, dining room and living room form a connected sequence of doors and corridors. Changes in height add variety to the route through the bunker.

I modelled the environment in 3ds Max, textured it in Substance Painter and assembled it in Unreal Engine 4.
